The best v0 alternatives in 2026, ranked for builders

Six real alternatives to v0, Vercel's AI builder for Next.js, React, Tailwind and shadcn/ui apps, from other prompt-to-app builders to the coding tools people move to when a project outgrows one, with who each is for and what it costs today. We also lay out v0's own plans and how to take a v0 project with you, so you know what you're comparing against. Every price was checked on the vendor's own site on Oct 20, 2026.

v0's plans today (checked Oct 20, 2026)

PlanPriceCredits and limitsWhat it adds
Free$07 messages a day. New users get $5 of one-time credits that don't renew (existing Free users keep $5 a month). Free users can't buy more credits.Deploy apps to Vercel, visual editing with Design Mode, GitHub sync. No shared projects or team credit pool.
Plus$30/user/mo (shown next to a struck-through $90)$30 of monthly credits per user plus $2 of free daily credits on login; buy more credits any time, shared across the teamAccess to all models, shared chats and team collaboration, centralized billing on vercel.com.
Business$100/user/moSame credits as PlusEverything in Plus, with training opt-out by default.
EnterpriseCustomCustomSAML SSO, role-based access control, priority access with no queues, guaranteed support SLAs; Vercel says Enterprise data is never used for training.
Premium (closed)$20/mo$20 of monthly creditsBeing sunset and closed to new users. Former Ultra users moved to Premium with an extra $200 credit.

Prices in USD, excluding taxes. v0 bills generations by tokens per model: per million input/output tokens, v0 Mini $0.20/$1.20, v0 Pro $2/$10, v0 Max $5/$25 and v0 Max Fast $10/$50. v0 isn't included in any Vercel hosting plan; Vercel's own example is a one-member Vercel Pro team ($20) plus v0 Premium ($20) = $40 a month.

Why builders look for v0 alternatives

v0's Free plan is small: 7 messages a day, and new users get $5 of credits once, with no option to buy more on Free. Paid plans are priced per user, so a 5-person team pays $150 a month on Plus, and training opt-out by default costs $100 per user on Business. Usage is metered in tokens, and v0 counts your chat history, source files and Vercel-specific context as input on every message, so bigger projects cost more per prompt. Hosting is a second bill: v0 isn't part of Vercel's Hobby, Pro or Enterprise plans, and Vercel's free Hobby plan is for non-commercial, personal use only. And v0 is strongest at one stack (Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui on Vercel), so people who want a built-in back end, a native mobile app or a no-code builder look elsewhere.

The alternatives, ranked

  1. 01

    Lovable

Closest like-for-like swap with a built-in back end: Lovable turns a prompt into a web app with Lovable Cloud (database, auth, storage), and its import dialog has guided export steps for v0 (in v0, open the project's ⋯ menu and choose Download ZIP). Lovable then migrates the code and moves your database and users to Lovable Cloud. Import is on every plan, uses credits, and is still rolling out gradually. Free is $0 with 5 daily build credits (up to 30 a month). Pro is $25/mo ($21/mo billed yearly) for 100 credits and Business $50/mo ($42/mo yearly). Lovable prices by credits, not seats, with unlimited users on every paid plan, so a team doesn't pay per person as on v0 Plus. Git sync to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket works on every plan, Free included.

💳 Free (5 daily credits, up to 30/mo); Pro from $25/mo ($21/mo yearly); Business from $50/mo (approx.)
  2. 02

    Bolt.new

Best for the biggest free allowance and a quick move from GitHub: Bolt.new builds web and mobile apps from a prompt with hosting and unlimited databases included, and it can import an existing GitHub repository, so a v0 project you've connected to GitHub can continue in Bolt. Free is $0 with 300K tokens a day, up to 1M a month, public and private projects, and Bolt branding on sites. Pro is $25/mo, or $18/mo billed yearly ($216 a year), with 10M tokens a month that roll over and your own domain. Teams is $30 per member/mo, or $27 billed yearly.

    💳 Free (300K tokens/day, 1M/mo); Pro from $25/mo ($18/mo yearly); Teams $30/member/mo ($27 yearly) (approx.)
  3. 03

    Replit Agent

Best when you need a real back end or a native mobile app: Replit Agent builds web apps and native iOS and Android apps in Replit's cloud workspace, with databases and publishing in one place, and Replit's importer takes a GitHub repository, the GitHub repo behind a Vercel project, or a ZIP (environment variable values, custom domains and Vercel-specific edge or middleware behavior don't come along). The free Starter plan gives daily Agent credits up to a monthly cap, Lite build and 1 published app that goes down after 30 days. Core is $20/mo ($18/mo billed annually) with $20 toward more powerful models, Full build, Plan mode and connectors. Pro is $100/mo ($90/mo annually), with up to 15 collaborators and 10 parallel agents.

💳 Free Starter plan (daily Agent credits, 1 published app for 30 days); Core $20/mo; Pro from $100/mo (approx.)
  4. 04

    Base44

Best all-in-one for non-developers: Base44 builds the front end, back end, database and user sign-in from plain-language prompts and hosts the app, so there's no separate hosting bill as with v0 and Vercel. Free is $0 with 25 message credits and 100 integration credits a month for up to 5 apps. Paid plans, billed annually: Starter $16/mo (100 message credits, unlimited apps, in-app code edits, your own domain), Builder $40/mo (250, plus GitHub integration), Pro $80/mo (500) and Elite from $160/mo (1,200). Annual billing saves 20%.

💳 Free (25 message credits/mo, up to 5/day, up to 5 apps); Starter $16/mo billed annually ($20 monthly); Builder $40/mo; Pro $80/mo; Elite from $160/mo (approx.)
  5. 05

    Cursor

Best when you outgrow builders and want an editor: v0's GitHub integration pushes your project to a private repository (or download the ZIP), so you can open the code in Cursor and keep going in an AI editor. v0's FAQ says you can export the code and deploy elsewhere. Cursor Free is $0 with limited agent and chat requests. Plus is $8/mo but only includes Grok models. Premium ($30/mo) adds third-party models such as Claude and GPT, billed separately at API list price. Super is $100/mo and Ultra $200/mo.

💳 Free tier; paid plans from $8/mo (Plus) up to $200/mo (Ultra); Teams from $30/user/mo (approx.)
  6. 06

    Claude Code

Best when you outgrow builders and want an agent to do the work: Claude Code reads your codebase, edits files and runs commands in the terminal, IDE extensions, a desktop app and the browser. Point it at the GitHub repo v0 created for your project and give it the bigger, multi-file changes. It isn't on Claude's Free plan. Pro is $20/mo ($17/mo billed annually, $200 up front) and Max starts at $100/mo. Claude Code shares one usage pool with your Claude chats, or you can pay per token with a Console (API) account.

💳 Included with Claude Pro ($20/mo US), Max (from $100/mo) and every Team seat (from $20/seat/mo billed annually), or pay via API usage (approx.)

How to choose

Want the same prompt-to-app flow with a back end built in? Lovable (Pro $25/mo), which imports a v0 ZIP directly. Want the most free usage? Bolt.new Free (300K tokens a day, up to 1M a month). Need a native mobile app or more backend control? Replit (Core $20/mo). Not technical and want hosting, database and sign-in in one plan? Base44 (Starter $16/mo billed annually). Happy with v0's stack but outgrowing the chat? Connect the project to GitHub and continue in Cursor or with Claude Code. Staying on v0 for a team? Remember Plus and Business are priced per user and Vercel hosting is billed separately.

Taking your v0 project with you

Vercel says it doesn't own the code v0 generates from your prompts. To take a project elsewhere, connect it to GitHub (Project menu, Settings, GitHub, Connect): v0 creates a private repository and pushes the current code, and from then on the repository is the source of truth. You can also download the project as a ZIP from the ⋯ menu, which is what Lovable's importer asks for. For your data, Lovable's guide says to export each table from the v0 project's Data section as CSV or JSON, or from the connected database provider (v0's databases, such as Neon, Supabase and Upstash, are provisioned through the Vercel Marketplace as accounts on those services). Replit's importer brings over files and build settings but not environment variable values or custom domains, so have your API keys ready. The move works the other way too: v0 imports existing projects from a GitHub repository, a Vercel project or a ZIP.

Also considered

Google AI Studio's Build mode creates a full-stack web app (React front end with a Node.js server) or a native Android app (Kotlin and Jetpack Compose) from a prompt, can import existing code from GitHub, set up Firestore and Firebase Authentication for you, and deploy to Cloud Run. Google notes that if you use paid models, costs may apply. It's the most interesting option if your app leans on Gemini features.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to v0?

Lovable is the closest like-for-like: the same prompt-to-app flow with a built-in back end, it imports a v0 project from a ZIP, and Pro is $25/mo with unlimited users. Pick Bolt.new for the biggest free allowance, Replit for a native mobile app or more backend control, and Base44 if you want everything, including hosting, without touching code.

Is there a free alternative to v0?

Yes. Bolt.new Free (300K tokens a day, up to 1M a month), Lovable Free (5 daily build credits, up to 30 a month), Replit Starter (daily Agent credits, 1 published app for 30 days) and Base44 Free (25 message credits a month, up to 5 apps) all cost $0. v0's own Free plan has a 7-message daily limit, and new users get $5 of credits once.

Is v0 cheaper than Lovable or Bolt?

For one person, no: v0 Plus is $30/user/mo, while Lovable Pro and Bolt Pro are $25/mo ($21 and $18/mo billed yearly). For teams the gap grows, because v0 Plus and Business are priced per user, Lovable prices by credits with unlimited users, and Bolt Teams is $30 per member/mo ($27 yearly). Vercel hosting is billed separately from v0, while Lovable, Bolt and Base44 include hosting.

Can I move my v0 project to Lovable, Bolt, Replit or Cursor?

Yes. For Lovable, download the project as a ZIP from v0's ⋯ menu and use Lovable's Import project dialog, which has a v0 option (rolling out gradually, and it uses credits). For Bolt, connect the v0 project to GitHub and import the repository. Replit imports the GitHub repo behind a Vercel project, or a ZIP. For Cursor or Claude Code, clone the GitHub repo v0 created and open it.

Is v0 included in my Vercel plan?

No. v0 is billed separately from Vercel's Hobby, Pro and Enterprise plans. Vercel's example: a one-member Vercel Pro team ($20) plus v0 Premium ($20) is $40 a month. Vercel's free Hobby plan is for non-commercial, personal use only.

Which v0 alternative is best for mobile apps?

Replit: it builds native iOS and Android apps you can test on your phone with Expo Go, and its Launch feature builds, signs and uploads your iOS app to App Store Connect. Bolt.new also builds mobile apps with Expo. Google AI Studio's Build mode can generate a native Android app in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
