Lovable Free and Pro can publish apps to invited people only
Free and Pro workspaces can now publish an app to an invite-only audience: up to 10 people per project, added by name or email, who log in to view it. Before, only Business and Enterprise could limit who sees a published app. Plan prices are unchanged.
Messages in Lovable's new Chats and Chat mode are priced per message, typically a fraction of a credit, and are covered first by a daily chat allowance on Free, Pro and Business (larger on paid plans; size not published). After that they use daily build credits, then general credits. Lovable says this chat pricing is temporary and applies through Oct 31, 2026. Enterprise has no allowance.
Took effect: Sep 21, 2026 (temporary pricing through Oct 31, 2026)
Lovable may train its AI models on Free and Pro data
Under Lovable's updated privacy policy, content from Free and Pro accounts (prompts, attached files, code, project files and generated outputs) may be used to train Lovable's AI models. Users can opt out at any time in Account settings, at no cost. Apps' end-user data isn't used, and Business and Enterprise workspaces stay excluded by default.
Lovable removes public projects; every project is now private to its workspace
Lovable no longer lets anyone create public projects, and all existing public projects were switched to workspace visibility. Free projects had been public by default until November 2025. Published apps are a separate setting and stay reachable at their URL unless access is limited.
New Devin Desktop Teams plans no longer include SSO
Cognition's usage docs say new Teams plans don't include SSO, which is now an Enterprise-only feature. Teams that already bought the SSO add-on keep it. Teams pricing is unchanged: an $80/mo minimum with full seats at $40/mo each.
Bolt Lite is $9/mo and only uses Bolt Forge, the agent that runs open-source models (GLM 5.3, GLM 5.3 Flash, Kimi K3, DeepSeek v4 Pro). Lite doesn't include the Standard or Max agents, custom domains, Supabase or extra usage. Forge launched Sep 14, 2026 alongside Lite, and Bolt's pricing page said Forge was included with Pro until Oct 18, 2026. Pro ($25/mo, or $18/mo billed yearly) and Teams ($30 per member/mo) are unchanged.
GitHub Copilot switches from premium requests to AI credits
Since June 1, 2026, Copilot bills chat, agent mode, Copilot CLI, the cloud agent and other AI features in GitHub AI Credits (1 credit = $0.01), priced by model and tokens. Code completions don't use credits. Premium requests now apply only to existing annual Pro and Pro+ subscribers who stayed on legacy billing. Past your allowance, usage costs $0.01 per credit.
GitHub paused new paid individual Copilot sign-ups on April 20, 2026 and began reopening them gradually on June 17, 2026. Copilot Free is still the way to try it; GitHub lists no free trial of Pro, Pro+ or Max.
Took effect: Apr 20, 2026 (paused); Jun 17, 2026 (reopening)
Devin Desktop Teams is an $80/mo minimum plus $40 per full seat
Cognition's billing docs explain Teams as an $80 monthly minimum. Full seats cost $40/mo each and count toward it, and any shortfall becomes prepaid usage credits the team shares: 1 or 2 full seats are $80/mo, 3 are $120, and N seats are N x $40 from two seats up. Flex seats are free. Teams covers up to 200 users.
Windsurf / Devin Desktop moved from prompt credits to quotas
In March 2026 Cognition replaced prompt credits with token-based daily and weekly quotas. Free waits for the reset; paid plans can buy extra usage at API list prices. Subscribers from before the switch keep their old prices: Pro at $15/mo and Teams at $30 per seat.
Firebase Studio stopped accepting new users and new workspaces on June 22, 2026 and shuts down on March 22, 2027, when remaining data is permanently deleted. Google points prompt-to-app builders to Google AI Studio and code-first developers to Google Antigravity. Firebase itself (Spark free, Blaze pay-as-you-go), Firestore, Authentication and App Hosting are unchanged.
Took effect: Jun 22, 2026 (closed to new users); Mar 22, 2027 (shutdown)
Gemini CLI replaced by Antigravity CLI for free users
On June 18, 2026 Google replaced Gemini CLI with Antigravity CLI for unpaid and Google One users, and Gemini CLI and the Gemini Code Assist IDE extensions stopped serving Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and free Code Assist for individuals. Gemini CLI is still open source and keeps working with paid Gemini API keys and Code Assist Standard or Enterprise licenses. Antigravity's Individual plan is $0; Google AI Pro is $19.99/mo in the US.
Cursor's $8 Plus plan now includes only Grok models
Cursor is now sold as part of The X Subscription, with one weekly usage pool shared with the Grok apps. Plus ($8/mo) runs only Cursor's own models (Grok 4.7, 4.6, 4.5 and Composer 2.5) at fixed settings, with no third-party models, cloud agents, Bugbot or your own API keys. Claude, GPT and Gemini need Premium ($30/mo) or higher and bill at API list price on top of the plan. Older Hobby, Pro ($20), Pro+ ($60) and Ultra plans keep working as legacy plans.
Cursor closes its student discount to new sign-ups
Cursor's student discount closed to new sign-ups on June 25, 2026. Students who already redeemed it keep their rate until the plan expires; graduate students, researchers and educators can request credits through a form.
Continue's homepage now says it has joined Cursor, and its last release shipped on June 19, 2026. The Apache-2.0 code stays on GitHub for anyone to fork, but Continue is no longer sold or actively developed as a product. We replaced it with Cline in our rankings.
Individual plans are now Free, Pro $10/mo ($15 of AI credits), Pro+ $39/mo ($70 of credits) and the new Max $100/mo ($200 of credits). Business is $19/user/mo with 1,900 pooled credits per user and Enterprise $39/user/mo with 3,900.
Since Cursor's May 2026 change, Bugbot is usage-based instead of $40 per seat per month. Individuals draw on their plan's included usage (Premium at $30/mo and up; not Free or Plus), and Teams pay from prepaid credit. Cursor puts the average run at $1.00 to $1.50.
New Advanced plan at $72/user/mo billed annually ($90 monthly). Essentials ($24 annual / $30 monthly) and Team ($48 / $60) are unchanged. Reviews past the hourly allowance cost $0.25 per reviewed file.
Qodo Pro Team is now sold as monthly credit packs pooled across the team ($0.012 per credit): $30 for 2,500 credits (about 18 reviews), $60 for 5,000 or $240 for 20,000. It was $30 per user per month. Still a 14-day trial, and free for qualified open-source projects.
ChatGPT Business now has Standard and Premium seats
ChatGPT Business seats now come in two types, both including ChatGPT and Codex: Standard at $25/user/mo ($20 billed annually) and Premium at $125/user/mo ($100 billed annually) with 5x Standard usage and no 5-hour limit, for 2 to 200 seats. New Business workspaces can't add the old Codex-only seats (closed since June 24, 2026).
Took effect: Jun 24, 2026 (Codex-only seats closed to new workspaces)
Retool retired its older Assist AI in the classic drag-and-drop builder on September 30, 2026. AI building now happens in the rebuilt, AI-native app builder, which uses pooled AI credits: 250/mo on Free, 1,000 on Team and 3,000 on Business.
v0's plans are now Free (7 messages a day; new users get $5 of one-time credits), Plus at $30/user/mo with $30 of monthly credits, and Business at $100/user/mo. The Ultra plan is retired, and Premium ($20/mo) is closed to new users.
Replit's plans are now Starter (free), Core at $20/mo ($18/mo billed annually) with $20 of monthly credits, and Pro at $100/mo ($90/mo billed annually) with $100 of credits. The Teams plan is no longer listed.
Cursor's new plan lineup: Free, Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200
Cursor replaced its old lineup (Pro at about $20/mo) with Free, Plus $8/mo, Premium $30/mo, Super $100/mo and Ultra $200/mo. Teams seats are Premium $30, Super $100 or Ultra $200 per user/mo.
Cognition renamed Windsurf to Devin Desktop on June 2, 2026, as an over-the-air update that kept plans, pricing, extensions and settings. windsurf.com/pricing now redirects to devin.ai/pricing. Plans: Free, Pro $20/mo, Max $200/mo, Teams and Enterprise. Devin Local is now the primary local agent, and Cascade is being deprecated.
