Cursor usage limits explained
Every paid Cursor plan includes one weekly pool for Cursor's own models. Premium has 4x, Super 15x and Ultra 50x Plus's pool. Claude, GPT and Gemini aren't in the pool: on Premium and up they bill at API list price from prepaid credit from the first request.

The pool, plan by plan
Free: limited Agent and Chat. Plus $8/mo: the base pool, Cursor's own models only (Grok 4.7, 4.6, 4.5 and Composer 2.5 at fixed settings). Premium $30/mo: 4x Plus. Super $100/mo: 15x Plus. Ultra $200/mo: 50x Plus. Annual: $80, $300, $1,000 and $2,000 a year. Cursor doesn't publish the pool size itself, only these multiples.
What draws from it
The pool is shared across everything on your subscription: Agent in the editor, CLI, Cloud Agents, Grok Bot and the Grok apps. Different models draw at different rates. There's no 5-hour window: the pool refreshes weekly, so one heavy day doesn't use up your month.
What doesn't
Third-party models (Claude, GPT, Gemini) aren't part of the pool. Plus can't use them; Premium and above pay API list price from prepaid credit, starting with the first request.
When you run out
Wait for the weekly reset, keep working on prepaid credit (top-ups or Auto Top-up) at the same per-model rates, or upgrade to a bigger pool. Cursor says requests are never downgraded in quality or speed. A monthly additional-usage limit you set caps paid extra usage.
Legacy plans
On Pro, Pro+, Ultra, Start or a Teams Standard/Premium seat? Those are legacy plans. They keep working as before, with two monthly usage pools and on-demand usage.
FAQ
Where do I see my remaining usage?
In your editor settings and under Usage at grok.com/dashboard, with your next reset date.
Does Cursor still have monthly limits?
Not on the new plans: the included pool refreshes weekly. Legacy plans keep monthly pools.
Which plan for Claude in Cursor?
Premium ($30) or higher; Claude bills at API list price on top of the plan.
